The Hungry American
I sit here watching the news and listening to the plight of the American worker. I am wondering just how many of us are wondering where their next meal will come from. Just how many are wondering how to pay their electric bill much less their mortgage. I am not talking about BIG AMERICA, for we already know that they got their bills taken care of. I am talking about you and me! We work our ass off at the very least 40 hours a week. We work to support our families and pay the bills. Yet every payday there is something that does not get paid. These are not people that bought a $500,000.00 home on a 60,000.00 a year income. These are just plain regular folks like you and me. While the politicians say the billions tagged for Big America will help you and I, I stand to differ. Once again, we are the ones who will be paying in the end. I was not shocked in the least to find out that once the money was approved Big America was having parties and celebrating with YOUR dollar. Does Big America pay your bills? NO! There is nothing wrong with cutting back in our household budgets. I mean we all have. Store brands are looking a lot better than the name brands. Yes we have to have chicken instead of steak. For some of us Tuna helper is what is for dinner. So, Big America, while you are eating big and slapping backs remember us. The Simple American who is paying your bills! Enjoy!

PW, I just heard a term used in the north "heat or eat". This is what those living in the snow and freezing weather will be thinking about when they cash their pay check on Fridays. Will they heat their place or eat? When it comes to feeding children their is not much choice in the matter. I think this winter will tell us a lot of where are country is heading.
"Heat or Eat" that is perfect for what may be coming later in the season. Right now gas prices are on the decline but I really feel that this is temporary and it will lul us into a feeling of false security. When the prices climb again we will be worse off than before. Big America and their Bailout will be nowhere to be found.
